This thesis deals with Socrates' work from available sources. The aim of the thesis is to describe the main sources from which information about Socrates can be drawn. The main part is devoted to Plato's early dialogues and their analysis. Furthermore, the work is devoted to the work of Xenophon, Aristophanes and Aristotle.

This bachelor thesis is focused on the person of the famous Greek philosopher Socrates. In the work is presented the life of Socrates and the context of the time. Subsequently, Socrates is introduced through four important authors - Plato, Xenophon, Aristotle, Aristophanes and their works. This bachelor's thesis combines the portraits of Socrates based on the works of the above-mentioned authors, who try to capture the character of Socrates in their subjective style. At the end of the bachelor thesis is presented the subjective profile of Socrates created by the author, this profile is based on the knowledge of primary and secondary literature.
Socratic Question as a Basis of the Care for One's Soul According to Jan Patocka

This thesis deals with the topic of the Socratic question as a basis of the care for one's soul in Patocka's texts within the period from 30th to 50th years of the 20th century. This topic is here divided into three larger coherent units. The first part deals with the Patocka's understanding of Socratic care for one's soul as a historical moral self-creation of man having a character of negatively oriented transcension, which is not determined by ideas, but associated in its way of distance from objectivity with motive of knowing unknowing about the last good. The second part of this thesis deals with Patocka's comprehending of Plato as a creator of metaphysical thinking, in which core stands this negatively oriented experience of Socratic moral reversal. Plato, however, this experience of originally unobjectivated horizon according to Patocka's interpretation objectivates as the world of eternal ideas. Patocka as a central interpretative motive of this experience inserts in his own interpretation of Plato the term of Being inspired by Heidegger, which is very close to Plato's Idea of Good laying beyond all divides of essence (ἐπέκεινα τῆς οὐσίας). Hannah Arendt and Michel Foucault have been controversial with their radical position on their conception of truth. With the rise of post-truth politics, scholars argue that Hannah Arendt and Michel Foucault have contributed to the rise of post-truth politics. In this thesis, the author defends both Hannah Arendt and Michel Foucault. The author argue Arendt's and Foucault's alternative readings on truth have provided significant insights in the post-truth age. Socratic Dialogue and Thinking

The bachelor thesis "Socratic Dialogue and Thinking" provides an insight into the life and philosophy of the ancient philosopher Socrates and brings a closer look at his concept of dialogue through which the truth is revealed. It also deals with the usage of the method of dialogue in teaching. The whole thesis was written with an effort to emphasize the importance of Socrates' philosophy in contrast with today's preference of an assertive way of communication, which often results in eristic dialectic. The aim of this bachelor thesis mainly is to describe Socrates' unique method of dialogue and to inspire a potential young reader, a high school student or his teacher. In the first instance, the thesis pursues Socrates' life and then deals with the term dialogue and with various conceptions of dialogue. Next section is about its Socratic conception. Death and immortality of soul according to Platon

The work deals mainly with immortality of soul according to Socrates understanding. The work is describing why is soul immortal and not dying together with a body after death. It is also describing, why it is important to care about soul and not listen to the body's needs, which relates with life after death. The work also mention reincarnation of soul, until it regains feathers. It is also describing the Socrates view of death, his positive understanding about death and why he was looking forward to it. It is describing, why is death the release, but also why it is important to not commit suicide. Also it describes the places, where the souls travel after death. Also I will write about god and his care of human.
